Sporting Tales

The nearest village to Killerton was around 3 miles away and College over 6 miles.

We had our own sporting facilities including a rugby pitch, a soccer pitch, a cricket ground, a squash court - albeit we needed to move the cows off the field and clear the worst of the cow pats before we could use the first two!

Occasionally it was even necessary to try to flatten the pitches a little - not the safest of tasks as one group found.

We had a table tennis, snooker, and of course, the babby foot machine!

We were usually able to put out a very useful team for whichever sport we entered.

More recently we have been visiting our old stomping grounds and have found that "our cricket pitch" is the home ground for Broadclyst CC.
