The Ganges - Dai Griffiths
I was pleasantly shocked to receive xmas cards from the manager and staff of the Ganges for several years after I left Exeter.
I remember our late night sojourns via the back road, usually piled into someone's car.
Coming from Pembrokeshire the only foreign food I had tasted was scotch eggs, yorkshire pudding, Irish coffee etc [not all at once].
My order was always the same, steak and chips with extra mushrooms and extra chips and double diamond.
One night the staff offered me a free curry to try and I've never looked back, the hotter the better. My favourite was the tarka curry its like a madras but a little otter !
